The Barely Amber story:
It was 2009 when Amber Cranfill and Miles Stevens were playing together for Sunday morning specials at the First Baptist Church in Clute, TX. After a few sessions they decided to get serious and began writing songs. Clif Custer and Steven Joe Boykin are brother-in-laws who have been playing together for many years. Through a friend, Amber made contact with Steven Joe (former choir members) and they all decided to meet up one evening after Amber and Miles' first public performance. It would be several weeks before the band fully united and began playing together. After just a few practices the sound was born as was Barely Amber.
